The enthusiasm shines through in this beautiful monumental kitchen in the basement of a stately building on Lange Voorhout. Here, at the start of 2026, Susan launched her big dream: her own baking studio where she teaches others all the ins and outs of the craft.

Baking with feeling

And just as important in Susan’s kitchen: the joy of baking! There’s no rigid step-by-step following of recipes here, but baking with your senses. Feeling when the dough is just right, smelling when your bread is ready, and creating pastries that not only taste delicious but are also a feast for the eyes. And above all: baking together with fellow bakers, laughing, and connecting.
