Shopping for Kids’ Clothing
Have your kids outgrown all their spring and summer outfits again this year? Then it’s time for something new! The Hague is the perfect place for stylish children’s clothing, with plenty of amazing kids’ stores to explore. Here are three of our favorites, each with a unique vibe and selection.
Stokstaart
Since February 2019, a delightful little shop has been nestled in a charming 19th-century building on the lively Weimarstraat: Stokstaart! This cozy store is filled with beautiful and sustainable children’s clothing, toys, accessories, and books (and sometimes even something for yourself!).
Most products are made in small batches by family businesses with great care and love. From Japan to Sweden, and from America to Spain, you’ll find brands like Bobo Choses, Engel, Ostheimer, and Susan Bijl. Get ready for some serious shopping!
Achtung! Baby
In the already lovely Prins Hendrikstraat in The Hague’s Zeeheldenkwartier, you’ll find a one-of-a-kind children’s store with second-hand designer clothing, handmade items, vintage toys, and kids’ furniture.
A fair warning to all parents: entering this store is at your own risk! We take no responsibility for the purchases you might make once you step inside.
LittleYOU
A kids’ concept store with sustainable brands, the best gifts, and a cozy spot for coffee while the kids play in the play corner. Tucked away in a side street off the bustling Frederik Hendriklaan, this hidden gem is a must-visit.
Every item in the store is carefully selected by owner Julia, with a focus on high-quality Scandinavian brands made from soft and durable materials. From wooden toys to adorable dresses, and from nightlights to cool books for boys—quality and sustainability come first. You might notice this in the price, but above all in how long the items last.
