Crooked cucumbers

You can certainly walk into Rechtstreex and decide on the spot what you want to eat and buy, but you can also pre-order a package of local food and pick it up. An extra bonus is that food waste is reduced with this process: after the ordering window for customers is closed, the folks at Rechtstreex provide the total quantities of ordered apples, carrots, or beans to the local farmers. They then deliver exactly what is needed. By not having (excessive) trade stock, there is no food waste at the end of the day. And of course, crooked cucumbers or pears with spots are also welcome in the assortment. They taste just as good, don’t they?!

The Rechtstreex store in Weimarstraat is open four days a week: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 12:00 to 18:00, and on Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00. So, go ahead and check out which products are available this season and get inspired for your meal tonight!
