February 14th. Valentine’s Day. The day of love… A bit cheesy, yes, but it’s still pretty special and fun to put the one you love in the spotlight at least once a year. And that doesn’t have to be just with a dinner for two. You can also get creative with other activities.
In this blog, we’ve lined up the best Valentine’s outings in The Hague, starting with all the delicious menus our Bites & Drinks treasures have put together:
- Valentine’s kicks off early at Caipi Café. Don’t expect a lava cake for two here: come for cocktails instead! A five-course menu with cocktail pairing is available on Friday, February 13th, and Saturday, February 14th for €65. And after dinner, you can stick around for drinks and music. Who knows, you might even hit the dance floor!
- At Sushimeisjes, a pink sushi roll is on the menu especially for Valentine’s! Want to be sure of a table or take-away sushi during Valentine’s weekend? Then it’s smart to reserve in advance. During the day, you can also visit Café Su, the Sushimeisjes’ lunch concept, for a Valentine’s lunch.
- Of course, Bistro Jules also has a Valentine’s menu. On February 14th, 15th, and 16th, you can enjoy five delicious courses at this The Hague treasure for €55. Booking ahead is recommended.
- And at the (newly revamped!) Bistro Veen, you can enjoy a true Valentine’s menu. A crisp crémant comes as an aperitif with your three-course menu.
- Let’s continue the list of lovely bistros offering Valentine’s menus: at Bistro Loft, love goes through the stomach too. Will you go for Duck with Forest Fruit Sauce or Risotto with Parmesan Foam? And for dessert: Red Velvet or Amaretto-Passionfruit Cheesecake? Tough choices!
These The Hague treasures also have something special lined up for February 14th:
- Valentine’s Day is a great excuse to go out with your date, best friend, or another loved one. How about a Valentine’s High Tea at Hug the Tea? Between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., you can enjoy matcha, Japanese teas, and a selection of sweet and savory treats together. Make sure to reserve your spot.
- The creative team at Het Keramisch Huis also has a sweet Valentine’s offer: come as a pair to their Clay & Glaze workshop on February 14th and pay just €90 for two people. Book your spot quickly via their website.
- Looking for something a bit different this Valentine’s? Then we happily point you to Aloha for Singles Night. Yes, in their sauna! Pizza is included, so it promises to be a fantastic evening.
And how about our Haagse Schatten gift card for your own The Hague treasure? With this gift card, you can shop at over seventy local participating businesses. So there’s something for everyone!
The best part? Every euro you spend with the card is guaranteed to be used at a local business in The Hague. That way, we can all continue to enjoy the city’s hotspots while supporting the many passionate and dedicated entrepreneurs who make The Hague so special.
