High Fashion from The Hague

We can best describe Sientje as a creative jack-of-all-trades. When we ask her about her hobbies, activities, and dreams, she gives us a long list of exciting things! She has worked as a goldsmith, built event decorations for Beachclub Indigo, developed educational projects about traditional attire at Muzee Scheveningen, delivered handmade bouquets, and, above all, she is deeply passionate about fashion. From atelier internships to fashion classes and a Fashion Design degree—Sientje has done it all.

And now, there’s Atelier Sientje—her very own space where she can bring all of this together. Especially fashion. Designing her own clothing, creating patterns, selecting fabrics, and bringing it all to life with an eye for detail. And of course, her self-designed pieces are available in the store. High fashion, right here in The Hague. Wow!

Tailor-Made Fashion

For years, the fashion designer dreamed of having her own boutique where she could unleash her creativity. With self-designed fashion, exclusive clothing collections made in her sewing studio, and custom-made pieces. This so-called bespoke fashion allows people to bring in their own ideas. Have you always wanted a specific garment? Want to add a personal touch to an item in your wardrobe? Or get that perfect blouse in a different fabric? Sientje makes it all possible.

Get Creative!

All that creative energy is contagious. So it’s no surprise if you start itching to dive into a project yourself. And guess what? You can! At Atelier Sientje, both adults and children can unleash their creativity with fabric, paint, or other craft supplies.

On Thursday evenings, there’s Atelier Bloom for adults. From 7:00 to 9:00 PM, a variety of workshops take place throughout the year: sewing, painting, poetry, creative mindfulness, knitting/crocheting, collage-making—you name it. Whether you’re looking for a creative challenge, personal growth, a new skill, or just some relaxation, there’s something for everyone.

At Atelier Kids, the next generation of creatives gets to work every Wednesday afternoon with the most fun, colorful, and imaginative materials and techniques. Under Sientje’s guidance, children will sew, paint, sculpt, design, build, and much more! They’ll learn to push creative boundaries—and, of course, take home a beautiful piece of art every week.
