Tim and Jan Willem, now also known in The Hague as the Caipi Boys, started years ago selling cocktails at beach parties and in the (former) surf village in Scheveningen. It was a hit, so they took their mobile Caipi cocktail bar on the road. Chances are you’ve already hung out at a festival bar with these guys.

Their own paradise

Soon, it was time for the next step and to make their big dream come true: their own (cocktail) paradise. That dream became a reality at a historic location: the old Seamen’s House on Visafslagweg. Even better, it’s just a few steps from the former surf village in Scheveningen where it all began…

Caipi: cocktails, café, club house

Enter Caipi Café. Naturally, this is the place to go for delicious cocktails. With its cool interior. Think surfboards on the walls, chrome bar stools, and funky tiles: it’s the vibrant cocktail café The Hague didn’t know it was missing. The relaxed vibe makes you want to stay all evening. Even better, there’s almost always something fun happening. A small selection:

Lazy Sundays: vinyl and jam sessions on the (sluggish) Sunday, special dinners (hello, cheese fondue night!), a variety of creative workshops (enjoy a drink while you get crafty) and the now legendary Club Caipi nights, where you can dance into the early hours.
Pro tip: eat at Caipi before the party and your ticket to the event is included. You can stay comfortably seated until the tables are moved aside and it’s time to hit the dance floor.

So definitely keep an eye on the Caipi Café agenda. This is about to become your new clubhouse!
