Tommy’s & Zuurveen becomes Bistro Veen, and it’s going to be amazing

Beautiful developments on the Veenkade. Our beloved Haagse treasure Tommy’s & Zuurveen will, starting mid-January, continue under the name Bistro Veen. A new name, a new look, but with the same wonderful team and the same love for good food and great atmosphere. Here’s a quick update.

Closed for a bit, then full speed ahead

During the first two weeks of January, the doors will close briefly for renovations. The three spaces you may know from the restaurant will remain, but one of them will soon be transformed into a real bar. Think: cosy late-night evenings, delicious drinks, DJs and live music, tastings… exactly the kind of place where you end up staying longer than planned and suddenly come home much later than intended.

From Fine Dining to Local Favourite

While Tommy’s & Zuurveen leaned more toward fine dining, Bistro Veen will be much more accessible. Soon, you’ll be able to stroll in for a tasty lunch, a drink with friends or colleagues, or simply a good glass of wine at the (new bar). You get it: we’re counting down the days! And naturally, owners Tom and Teun are too:

Perfect Bistro Vibes

A place where you linger after work on a Friday, enjoy a good lunch on a Wednesday, or do a tasting on a Saturday with friends. A spot that makes The Hague even a little more fun, a true The Hague treasure!

Just a little patience until mid-January. After two weeks of renovations, the doors on the Veenkade will reopen as Bistro Veen. Want to enjoy the delicious cuisine of Tommy’s & Zuurveen before then? Our tip: book a table in December for a lovely (Christmas) dinner. Otherwise, mark the Bistro Veen opening in your calendar for mid-January, this might just become your new favourite spot.
