In this little spot on Goudsbloemlaan, they cook in tune with the seasons. At the back of the shop, they work with locally sourced fresh produce, minimizing food waste, and prepare everything with love. And on top of that, the dishes are vegan. It can hardly get more sustainable, fair, and delicious. A unique concept in our city!

At the front, the ladies assist you in filling your (of course biodegradable) containers or preparing your sandwich. Can’t decide? Opt for the meal of the week or the soup of the day, or choose one of the delightful salad bowls. Then, you can settle down comfortably by the large windows with your take-out bites. Or enjoy them at home!

From befriended moms to business partners

The owners of Z’AHA deli are friends Justine and Sophie. They met on the schoolyard of their kids and discovered a shared passion for wholesome food. Over the years, Justine gained extensive experience at various restaurants and lunchrooms in The Hague. This vegan chef joined forces with Sophie, and together they opened their own take-out Z’AHA deli in the summer of 2023.

Gifts and catering

In the deli, you’ll also find a cute little shop with local products and a vegan assortment. Here you can buy vegan cheese, chutneys and sauces, chocolate, tahini, and couscous. There’s even a shelf with tableware, candles, and bags. Perfect for a gift package, or of course just for yourself!
