WIJdehorst: A World of Its Own

With a pick-your-own garden, food forest, adventure woodland, flower-picking garden, farm shop, and harvest field, WIJdehorst in Wassenaar is a world of its own. A lush green oasis where there is always something to discover. Even better: a wonderful new spot for coffee has recently opened on the grounds, complete with delicious homemade treats.

Great coffee, freshly brewed herbal tea, homemade cakes, and light lunches made with produce harvested on-site, all served in a truly unique setting. The terrace attracts both cheerful day-trippers and loyal regulars, and we highly recommend paying it a visit yourself.

This summer, WIJdebar is open on Fridays from 12:00–16:00 and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00–16:00.

Welcome to Wassenaar

A few years ago, Erwin became the owner of this beautiful piece of land just outside Wassenaar. Since then, he has been delighted to share this special place with everyone.

Every Monday and Wednesday, dozens of volunteers come together to work on the land. The Bosboerderij tends the food forests while also offering training courses and workshops and subscribers collect their weekly vegetable boxes or pick their own fresh bouquets, while the farm shop and the WIJdebar terrace are run by a team of enthusiastic people who are always happy to welcome visitors.

There is always something happening at WIJdehorst, too. From local markets and community harvest days to Sunbloom Sunday high teas and seasonal celebrations, the calendar is filled with events that bring people together. You are warmly invited to join in.
