We were already in love with the city. We’re also crazy about food, and that perfect combination led to something delicious. And so, we proudly present our own Haagse Schatten chocolate bar!

Our tastiest local collaboration to date has been handcrafted in small batches, using sustainable cocoa and a dose of passion and love from De Haagsche Cacoafabriek, with plenty of taste testing from us. Because, hey, everyone has their own craft.

The Taste of The Hague

The cocoa from De Haagsche Cacaofabriek is sustainably grown through agroforestry in the forests of Bolivia. This type of agroforestry is better for people, animals, and the environment because it:

• Removes CO2 from the air
• Keeps the soil fertile
• Increases biodiversity
• Keeps the air fresher and the water cleaner

Once in the Netherlands, the chocolate is made from bean to bar at De Haagsche Cacaofabriek in the heart of The Hague and wrapped in (biodegradable!) packaging.

‘Liefde gaat door… Den Haag’ combines creamy milk chocolate with crunchy caramel and a pinch of sea salt. And that taste is truly a tribute to The Hague: familiar, surprising, and with a touch of originality.
