In this monthly feature, we highlight one of our entrepreneurs each time. However, we’ll start with a brief introduction to the founders of the platform. It’s only fair to introduce ourselves (again), don’t you think?

Barbara & Marlies – Haagse Schatten

After being friends for many years, studying together, traveling together, and spending countless evenings in the city center of The Hague, we gained a new title in early 2016: business partners. We knew we needed to embark on a venture together, to combine our energy and ideals, and to share them with others. We created a platform for all the treasures our city has to offer: Haagse Schatten (The Hague Treasures). A platform for and about The Hague’s treasures, born from our passion and love for the city.

What makes a The Hague treasure a treasure?

It’s hard to capture in just one sentence. But if it’s a place you’d go out of your way to visit, a spot you’d like to keep to yourself but also shout from the rooftops, and if there’s a truly passionate entrepreneur behind it, then you might just have a great candidate.

What do you go out of your way for?

For delicious food, fine wine, charming boutiques, and the coziest beach bars. We certainly get a lot of mileage out of our Haagse Schatten cargo bikes 😉
