After years of whispers, it finally became a reality and Achtung! Lady opened its doors. A clothing store specially for women. Beautiful second-hand clothing, vintage, and lovely handmade accessories, all made in The Hague. Truly a The Hague treasure! You can find this fantastic store in Prins Hendrikstraat. A store just for women, that’s exactly what we want, right?
Familiar faces in a familiar street
Of course, we already knew Ginny, Maryke, and Gaby from Achtung!Baby. And we can’t tell you how happy we are that they have now started Achtung!Lady. The clothing is hung at the front of the store and it’s wonderfully organized. With enough space in between, so you can really enjoy shopping. Beautiful blouses, Levi’s jeans, trendy and stylish jumpsuits, and unique accessories. As you walk through the store, you’ll find yourself in Gaby’s hair salon. A super cozy spot with fair products for your hair. Oh, and fitting rooms, they’re worth a visit too! No bright fluorescent lights and dreary square cubicles here. No, in these fitting rooms, you’d almost want to just sit down with a cup of tea. Nice light, cozy chair, warm rug on the floor, and a nice big mirror to get a good look at your outfit. Add to that the expert advice from the ladies, and we’re sure you won’t leave here empty-handed.

The style can be described as classic, but absolutely not frumpy. If you have items that fall into this category yourself, bring them along quickly because that’s how it works here. The store is filled by you! You can drop off clothing you no longer wear and make others happy while at the same time finding something in the store from someone else. A portion of the proceeds comes back to you, and the other part is, of course, for the store itself. With enough clothing in circulation for the whole world, this is a wonderful way of buying and selling clothes. This way, clothes just feel and look that little bit better.

Op het ietwat grijze Westeinde in Den Haag brengen Eloïse en Pauline, oprichters van Cross & Woods, een beetje kleur en warmte. Deze twee creatieve dames, met een enorme passie voor handwerk in allerlei vormen—breien, borduren, naaien en weven—bundelden hun krachten om een winkel te starten die creatievelingen samenbrengt.
In de winkel vind je een uitgebreid assortiment hoogwaardige materialen: wol, garen, patronen, stoffen en naalden. Perfect voor elk handwerkproject. Of je nu net begint of een doorgewinterde maker bent, Cross & Woods heeft alles om je volgende creatie te laten slagen!
En, Cross & Woods is meer dan een winkel: je kunt er ook terecht voor knutselavonden (craft nights) en tal van workshops. Elke eerste vrijdag van de maand vanaf 17 uur ben je welkom met je eigen knutselproject. Breng je project mee en ontmoet gelijkgestemden terwijl je samen je hobby (uit) oefent!
