De Sushimeisjes
Two friends, one passion: sushi! Lisa and Nicole, born and raised in The Hague, started rolling sushi themselves years ago, with the simple belief that truly fresh sushi is simply the best. Fast forward to today, they’ve expanded to two restaurants, a delivery service, and catering, making the Sushimeisjes a household name in The Hague.
Two restaurants
While just a few years ago, the ladies were rolling sushi in their own kitchens, and their first takeaway spot (a small counter at the Haagsche Kopjes hair salon) is now a thing of the past, they are now co-owners of two thriving restaurants. Because the first restaurant on Prins Hendrikstraat was such a success, the girls can now also be found on Valkenboskade. What a celebration!
Daily fresh sushi prepared with love
Okay, they’ve grown a bit since then and now roll sushi with a few more people, but you still get the freshest sushi imaginable at the Sushimeisjes every day. You’ll understand: for us, there’s no other sushi. Secretly, we know that’s the case for many Hague residents by now.
A quick glance at the menu makes our mouths water:
– Poke bowls
– Maki rolls
– Edamame
– Wakame salad
– Fried shrimp or cauliflower
Having trouble deciding? There’s also a veganista menu, sushi mix for one or two people, and even a kids mix!
By the way, did you know that the girls also regularly enter cool collaborations? Sushi & Yoga? Absolutely. Sushi & Matcha? Perfect match. Of course, we’re especially excited that these cool events often involve other The Hague treasures too.
From sushi cakes to shrimp workshops
Got something to celebrate and a big sushi fan? Then the Sushimeisjes have the perfect cake for you: a real sushi cake! They also offer catering, events, and workshops. While enjoying a drink, they’ll teach you the basics of sushi making; from the ingredients to rolling, cutting, and ultimately eating the sushi! You can choose from a vegetarian, fish, or shrimp workshop. Check the website and socials for the latest updates.

Deze twee creatieve dames, met een enorme passie voor handwerk in allerlei vormen—breien, borduren, naaien en weven—bundelden hun krachten om een winkel te starten die creatievelingen samenbrengt.
In de winkel vind je een uitgebreid assortiment hoogwaardige materialen: wol, garen, patronen, stoffen en naalden. Perfect voor elk handwerkproject. Of je nu net begint of een doorgewinterde maker bent, Cross & Woods heeft alles om je volgende creatie te laten slagen!
En, Cross & Woods is meer dan een winkel: je kunt er ook terecht voor knutselavonden (craft nights) en tal van workshops. Elke eerste vrijdag van de maand vanaf 17 uur ben je welkom met je eigen knutselproject. Breng je project mee en ontmoet gelijkgestemden terwijl je samen je hobby (uit) oefent!
