#1 Strandpaviljoen Aloha
On the beach of Scheveningen, next to the North Pier, you’ll find Strandpaviljoen Aloha. At Aloha you can enjoy a nice meal after surfing or warm up with a coffee by the fireplace. Never surfed before? Book a lesson! Got excited? Shop your new gear in the surf shop!
Bonus: Aloha is one of the 3(!) beachclubs that can stay open all year round. So even for your winter coffee, you can go to Aloha!
#2 The Shore
This hotspot on the Noorderstrand is a big favorite among many surfers from The Hague. Besides surf lessons and board rentals, The Shore also organize a lot of fun parties and events, make the best pancakes for after your surf session, and they recently added a toko menu! (Foto: Teddy Lauren)
#3 Kukkaburra Beach
True to its status as a real The Hague treasure, Kookaburra Beach is just a little off the beaten path, tucked away in a quiet, lovely spot on our favorite Zuiderstrand. It’s exactly the kind of place you’d want to keep all to yourself… but of course, we’re sharing it.
As the name hints, Kookaburra (you know, that famous laughing Australian bird) has a touch of Aussie flair. You can start your day with an Acai Bowl, enjoy Bundaberg soft drinks, and in the evening, the BBQ often gets fired up.
#4 Strandhuis Maví
Going to the beach with the kids? Then head to Beach house Mavi on the Zuiderstrand! While the kids jump on the trampoline, you can enjoy a refreshing drink and order one of the unique dishes on the menu. And be sure to stay for the sunset! They have the perfect beachchairs for it!
#5 Suiderstrand
On the (you guessed it) Zuiderstrand near Kijkduin, you’ll find Suiderstrand. For a moment you forget that you are in The Hague! With the cheerful umbrellas, a relaxed atmosphere, and a delicious menu, you’ll feel like you’re on vacation. From early in the morning till late in the evening, Suider is the place to be!
#6 Blow Beach House
At the very end of the Zuiderstrand, you’ll find the southernmost beachclub in The Hague: Blow Beach House. With the Zandmotor in its front yard, this cozy beach club, complete with kite school, is the home base for water sports enthusiasts! After your kite session, relax with a cold beer and delicious pizza from the stone oven!
