In a hidden corner of Goudenregenstraat, tucked away in an artist’s courtyard, you’ll find De Kust: a workshop studio where creativity and connection come together. Owner Jet saw and seized the opportunity to create this creative oasis.

The origins of De Kust

Jet is a born creative and the founder of Zee van Papier and Zee van Muziek. She graduated as a music therapist and worked for years as an activity coordinator. In 2022, she decided to leave her job and fully dedicate herself to her creative passion. She started with her beloved gelli printing technique in her apartment, but soon realized she needed more space. When a spot became available in the artist’s courtyard on Goudenregenstraat, Jet knew: this was her chance.

“The courtyard itself is a dream location,” she says. “A kind of secret oasis where living and working come together for me. When I first stepped into the studio, it was much bigger than I expected. A bit overwhelming. But after sleeping on it for a night, I knew: I want to share this.” In February 2023, she opened the doors of De Kust and transformed the space from a dream location into a shared creative haven.
